Installing multiple instances of ServiceManager on the same machine Follow
It is strongly advised to run one instance of ServiceManager per machine.
However, in case your setup requires you to use the same server - you must do so with care to the following restrictions.
Every ServiceManager instance should run on different managed server (WebLogic) or different servers on the same machine (WebLogic, Tomcat).
Notice:
- At any time, the different instances of the ServiceManager must NOT be using the same USER_HOME folder. Failing to do so might result in permanent database corruption and losing your data.
- If you set the DAILY_BACKUPS folder to be under USER_HOME, make sure the folder name would be daily_backups.
When installing the ServiceManager instances on the server, consider following these steps:
1. Install and start one ServiceManager instance.
2. Change the USER_HOME path in Admin > System Properties.
Make sure to choose non-default path, which is different than the path that will be used in any other ServiceManager instance.
