Installing multiple instances of ServiceManager on the same machine – AuraPlayer

It is strongly advised to run one instance of ServiceManager per machine.

However, in case your setup requires you to use the same server - you must do so with care to the following restrictions.

Every ServiceManager instance should run on different managed server (WebLogic) or different servers on the same machine (WebLogic, Tomcat).

Notice:

At any time, the different instances of the ServiceManager must NOT be using the same USER_HOME folder. Failing to do so might result in permanent database corruption and losing your data.
If you set the DAILY_BACKUPS folder to be under USER_HOME, make sure the folder name would be daily_backups.

When installing the ServiceManager instances on the server, consider following these steps:

1. Install and start one ServiceManager instance.

2. Change the USER_HOME path in Admin > System Properties.

Make sure to choose non-default path, which is different than the path that will be used in any other ServiceManager instance.
