Oracle Upgrade Project - Windows Server Pre-Requisites Follow

Please find below the technical requirements for the server as well as the shopping list of technologies to download.

 

Server prerequisites:

  • Minimum  of 24gb of Memory
  • Minimum of 100gb in c: drive
  • Minimum 8 CPUs
  • Remote access
  • Computer with Internet access or the ability to use USB to upload AuraPlayer's development scripts

Other requirements and notes

  • local administrator account - Installations and configurations require to be local admin on the machine.
  • We will need to disable the virus scanner on the machine for the installation period.
  • We will need to disable the firewall on the machine for the installation period.
  • We will need a database connection to your development environment - an Oracle account to connect to compile all the files and modules.

Guidelines for download Microsoft Visual C++

On the Windows platform, several components require the Microsoft Visual C++ run-time libraries to be installed on the system.

Most windows servers include these libraries by default, however, if these libraries are not installed on your Windows operating system, then you will receive an error during the prerequisite check phase of these components:

  • Oracle WebLogic Server Plugin
  • Oracle HTTP Server
  • Forms and Reports

To meet this system requirement, download the following versions of Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio:

  • Visual Studio 2010 (VC++ 10.0) SP1

  • Visual Studio 2012 (VC++ 11.0)

  • Visual Studio 2013 (VC++ 12.0)

Other technologies to download for the installation:

We must have the following downloads of the required technologies:

  • CERTIFIED Version of JDK (should also come with JRE) - download Java from the following link
  • Oracle Forms and Reports 12c Version 12.2.1.4 – Windows 64 - please follow the download instructions below
  • Fusion Middleware Infrastructure 12.2.1.4 - please follow the download instructions below
  • Database for repository - This is a local DB server used solely to track Oracle Forms sessions in a repository. it is free of charge, if you are running Forms Reports Enterprise Edition or you are using WebLogic Suite. Please follow the download instructions below.

Guidelines for download Forms and Reports

  1. Go to https://edelivery.oracle.com/osdc/faces/Home.jspx
  2. Log in with your Oracle account. 
  3. Then, search for Oracle Forms and Reports

4. Add DLP: Oracle Forms and Reports 12.2.1.4.0 (Oracle Forms and Reports)

5. Search for Oracle Fusion Middleware 12c Infrastructure:

6. Add REL: Oracle Fusion Middleware 12c Infrastructure 12.2.1.4.0  

7. Go to the Selected software.

8. Choose your OS (Microsoft).

9. Click "Continue". 

10. Accept Oracle Standard terms and Restrictions.

Guidelines for download WebLogic and Database

  1. Go to https://edelivery.oracle.com/osdc/faces/Home.jspx
  2. Log in with your Oracle account. 
  3. Then, search the relevant component you need: WebLogic or Database
  4. continue the steps until you succeed to download these.
