Oracle Upgrade Project - Linux Server Pre-requisites Follow
Please find below the technical requirements for the server as well as the shopping list of technologies to download.
Server prerequisites:

Technical requirements for the server:
- Linux - Either Oracle Linux version 8 or Red Hat (for Red Hat-specific requirements read here)
- minimum 24GB of Memory
- minimum 100 GB of hardware drive
- minimum 4 CPUs
- remote access
- computer with Internet access or the ability to use USB to upload the scripts.
Additional requirements:
- We need root account for installation (Packages, User, Groups. Change sysctl.conf and ulimit).
- We need root account to run oraInventory creation.
- We need to disable the virus scanner for installation period.
- We need to disable firewall on the server for installation period.
- Later, we are going to need database connection to your development environment - an Oracle account to connect to compile all the files and modules.
Technologies to download for the Installation:
In order to download the latest technologies please follow the below simple steps:
- Go to https://edelivery.oracle.com/osdc/faces/Home.jspx
- Log in with your Oracle account.
- Then, search for Oracle Forms and Reports:
4. Add DLP: Oracle Forms and Reports 12.2.1.4.0 (Oracle Forms and Reports)
5. Search for Oracle Fusion Middleware 12c Infrastructure:
6. Add REL: Oracle Fusion Middleware 12c Infrastructure 12.2.1.4.0
7. Go to the Selected software.
8. Choose your OS (Linux)
9. Click "Continue".
10. Accept Oracle Standard terms and Restrictions.
11. Download the ZIP files:
12. Download JAVA https://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/jdk8-downloads-2133151.html
