ServiceManager's Local Folder (data folder) Follow
The ServiceManager's Local Folder is the folder where AuraPlayer stores all the data, statistics, recording files, logs, and even temporary files.
Check current local folder location by going to ServiceManager->Admin->Server information->Service Manager Local Directory.
Default Path: <User's home directory>/ServiceManager
Changing local folder location: You might want to change the location of that folder if you want to set more disk space to that folder, or if there are no permissions to that folder.
- On the screen above, click 'Edit'.
Your path should end with: <path>/ServiceManager - After you set the path, RESTART of the ServiceManager server is required (tomcat or from weblogic)
- If you UPGRADE your ServiceManager in the future, you might need to set that path again.
Daily Backups folder: by default, the daily backups folder is located inside the local folder.
You may set the daily backup folder separately via the same screen.
Setting local folder via Windows/Linux Environment Variables
In order to keep your folder locations even after ServiceManager UPGRADE or RESET, you may set the paths by setting the following Windows/Linux environment variables:
- AP_LOCAL_FOLDER
- AP_DAILY_BACKUPS
On Windows: Start -> Type "Edit system environment variables" -> Environment Variables.
Troubleshooting
- Permissions: make sure that there are correct permissions/roles to the path you set.
- Manually changing the paths can be done by editing the file bellow and bouncing the server: <Service Manager Installation Directory>/servicemanager.paths
(e.g <tomcat_directory>/webapps/ServiceManager/servicemanager.paths
