How to open Oracle Forms from Microsoft Edge Follow
The Internet Explorer 11 application will be retired and go out of support on June 15, 2022 for Windows 10. Saying that, Microsoft Edge will replace Internet Explorer, and therefore it has Internet Explorer mode (“IE mode”) built in, so you can access those legacy Internet Explorer-based websites and applications straight from Microsoft Edge.
To record and playback Forms from Edge, we need to enable IE mode on it. Follow the steps below to enable:
1) On the URL, paste the following: edge://settings/defaultBrowser
2) Under the Internet Explorer compatibility section:
a) turn on the "Allow sites to be reloaded in Internet Explorer mode"
b) on Internet Explorer mode pages, click on Add and enter http://<SM_HOST>:<PORT>/ServiceManager/www/auraplayer/index.html#/serviceManager - which <SM_HOST> is your ServiceManager URL and its port on the <PORT>.
3) Restart Edge
4) When entering ServiceManager, you might need to reload the page in Internet Explorer mode, by clicking on the three dots (...) > Reload in Internet Explorer mode
5) Make sure you see the IE icon next to the URL, which means that the page is on IE mode
Now you can record and playback Forms from Edge.
