Enable GoogleMaps Integration Follow
Step 1: Get an API key
Follow these steps to get an API key from Google, which is required if you wish to use maps in pages you generate with AuraPlayer's AppVisualizer:
-
Go to the Google API Console.
-
Create or select a project.
-
Click Continue to enable the API and any related services.
-
On the Credentials page, get an API key (and set the API key restrictions). Note: If you have an existing unrestricted API key, or a key with browser restrictions, you may use that key.
-
(Optional) Enable billing. See Usage Limits for more information.
-
From the list of APIs on the Dashboard, look for Google Maps Geocoding API, and make sure it is enabled.
Step 2: Save your API key
Once you acquired your API key from Google, you need to import it to AuraPlayer's ServiceManager:
-
Go to Admin > System Properties.
-
Look for a line containing "GOOGLE_API_KEY=".
If it's commented-out (starts with #) - uncomment it (remove the #).
If it's missing, write the above phrase it a new line. -
Paste your API key after the 'equals' sign.
- Click on the "Update Properties" button.
-
Re-generate any applications that use Maps.
